Katie Singh

Katie Singh is a Tide Risers Facilitator serving Seattle, Washington.

Katie also serves as the Director of Leadership Development with the Urban Schools Human Capital Academy (USHCA), a national non-profit committed to improving human capital management in K-12 education. In this role, Katie leads content and curriculum development and serves as lead facilitator for leadership programs in the K-12 sector focused on best practices in human capital management.

Katie is passionate about supporting the development of school system leaders across the country that result in improved outcomes for students. She is committed to building the capacity of both emerging and senior-level leaders and preparing them to find, keep, and develop the right people on their teams and within their organizations. She also serves as a strategic partner to districts in the design and implementation of their HR strategies through consulting projects.

Prior to joining USHCA, Katie worked at the New York City Department of Education in a variety of human capital leadership roles. Before joining the NYC Department of Education, she worked at the World Bank in Washington, DC, where she researched education systems and supported the Bank’s education program in Mongolia. Katie began her career as an elementary school teacher in the Bay Area. 

She currently lives in Seattle, Washington with her husband and two children. She is a founding board member of Catalyst Public Schools, a new charter management organization in Washington State. Kaite has a Masters in International Affairs from the University of California, San Diego and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
