Rising the Tide in Philadelphia and San Francisco
I am thrilled to share the news that Tide Risers will be expanding to two new locations in January 2019: Philadelphia and San Francisco!
When I founded Tide Risers just last year, I never would have imagined it would grow this quickly. It is now clear to me that Tide Risers is providing women with something that was both necessary and lacking. Our members have benefitted from our monthly UnstickHer sessions, designed to help women get up and out of whatever loop is holding them in place. They have thrived in a diverse community of female leaders all working to help make the world a better place. And they have stretched themselves and grown as a result of our commitment to uplift one another and hold one another accountable for our audacious dreams.
What happens when a hyper-connected woman finds something new that improves her life? She talks about it with her people. That seems to be what has happened for us. Word has spread about Tide Risers and the impact it can have for women. I have had the wonderful privilege of meeting and working with an extraordinary group of Tide Risers Facilitators who lead our cohorts and make up our Leadership Team. I couldn't be more proud to introduce the two newest members of our team:
Marion Biglan is the Tide Risers Facilitator for Philadelphia, PA. Marion is a coach, collaborator and community builder who loves her adopted city of Philadelphia. Marion coaches mission-driven leaders and consults with education and social-impact organizations through her business, MHBiglan Consulting, and through a collaborative she co-founded called Talent Impact Partners.
Marion brings to her practice over two decades of experience in education and human capital, starting as a 5th grade teacher through Teach For America, then launching Teach For America’s Chicago region as the founding executive director. Marion furthered her passion for people work when she became a founding member of Teach For America’s Human Assets team, where as Vice President of People Partners, she led the team of internal consultants and coaches who supported managers and senior leaders on management and leadership development, staff culture and performance, diversity and inclusiveness, change management, and talent recruitment.
Marion is passionate about continuing her journey to learn and foster racial justice in her community and all areas of her life. She is a certified coach through Coach Diversity Institute, and co-founder of a network of women who come together to build deeper relationships across race called Women in Community. Marion lives in the Philadelphia region with her husband and two children, and is on the board of Cheltenham School District’s United Parents Group and the Friends of Bache-Martin School.
Dynasti Hunt is the Tide Risers Facilitator for San Francisco, California. Dynasti is a leader in the Talent Development space with over 10 years of experience leading Human Resources teams and coaching leaders across the country in the for-profit and non-profit sectors. In her current role as VP, Talent at EducationSuperHighway (ESH), Dynasti leads all Talent initiatives, primarily focused on developing ESH’s amazing team and ensuring they have all of the support needed to be change makers in the social justice community.
Dynasti is also a certified Group Fitness Instructor, leading sweaty sessions across the Bay Area to a diverse group of clients and teaching individuals how to incorporate a healthy balance across all aspects of their life. Her ability to coach, in multiple areas, allows her to bring a unique lens to how individuals can grow professionally and personally. Dynasti believes that all leaders are defined by pivotal moments and experiences that allow them to make significant changes that lead to greater outcomes, stronger results, and most importantly, larger impact for the greater community in which they work and live.
A proud Nashville native and equally proud Bay Area resident, Dynasti has a B.B.A. from Mercer University and an MBA from University of Missouri, Kansas City. Dynasti is also a Broad Residency Alum and Pahara Institute Next-Gen Alum.
